There are many ways parents can volunteer to help make our PTO events a success. Below is a brief description of PTO Volunteer opportunities.
If you are interested in participating in any of the events, please complete the sign-up form on this page and the information will be forwarded to the Event Chair(s). Ice Cream Social - September 2010 Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help scoop ice cream (30 minute shifts), set up before the social and clean up after the event. Walk-a-thon - October 2010 Event Chair - TBA This is a new event that will take place during the school day in the month of October. Help will be needed on the day of the event. Environmental Committee Event Chairs - TBA Volunteers are needed to prepare the school grounds for Mumfest fall planting and spring planting day, as well as watering the grounds. After School Program - Fall 2010 & Spring 2011 Event Chairs - TBA Instructors and volunteers needed for Fall and Spring sessions. If you have a special talent or interest that you would like to share, please consider participating in the After School Program. Instructors receive a stipend. Sessions are held after school for a 3-4 week period in the Fall and Spring. Scholastic Book Fair - Fall 2010/Spring 2011 Event Chair - TBA Help chair with set-up, sales, and assisting children during the fair. Food Bank Bingo Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help during the event selling baked goods, checking bingo numbers and passing bingo prize basket, as well as set up and clean up. Sweetheart Dance Event Chairs - TBA Volunteers needed for set up, raffle ticket sales and clean up. Boys' Event Event Chair - TBA Would you be interested in organizing a boys' event in March? Your ideas would be greatly appreciated. Spring Fundraiser Event Chairs - TBA Volunteers are needed to help organize and distribute the fundraising products. Yearbook Committee Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help with organizing the school yearbook, including taking photos of activities during school as well as at school events. Help create a special keepsake for our students. Teacher Appreciation Week - April 2011 Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help create and organize various activities for the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Family Fun Night - June 2011 Event Chairs - TBA Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, assistance during the event as well as clean up. Fifth Grade Promotion - June 2011 Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help organize promotion activities for fifth grade students. Fifth Grade BBQ - June 2011 Event Chair - TBA Volunteers are needed to help organize end of the year outing for 5th grade. On Call Volunteers On call volunteers would be contacted on an “as needed basis” as unexpected volunteer needs arise during the school year.
