Learn to Ice Skate & Play Ice Hockey
Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association (GPYHA) offers a fun program open to boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 8. Sessions are held once per week, at the Meehan Auditorium at Brown University. Sessions are held on Sunday mornings for approximately 50-60 minutes. The program begins the first week in October and runs into early March. The objective of the Instructional Program is to teach the fundamental skating skills necessary to play the game of hockey. In addition, a small level of instruction on stick handling, shoot and passing will be provided, but clearly the emphasis will be on skating which is the most important skill any hockey player needs. Visit www.gpyha.com for more information.
