Welcome to the Myron J. Francis Elementary School PTO! Our organization of parents and teachers work together to promote the educational welfare of the children at Francis School.
The PTO is a great place to meet other parents, share ideas, and help our children. The PTO meets once a month, usually on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm in the Francis library. At these meetings we discuss current school issues, hear reports about our budget, plans, and projects, and vote on PTO expenditures. Sometimes we have special presentations from our teachers or students. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend PTO meetings. Fundraising events throughout the year allow us to provide services, sponsor events, and help purchase items not ordinarily provided through our school district. Our Francis students really enjoyed the many events this past year such as Family Bingo Nights, Ice Cream Socials, sea life exhibits from BIOMES, Roller Skate nights, and Reading Week events. None of these activities are possible without you! Parental involvement is of the utmost importance for the success of any student. We hope that you will take a moment to explore the possibilities for your involvement this school year. You can make a difference for your child, and all children at Francis School, by participating in the PTO. The Francis PTO is an independent, non-profit organization of parents and teachers. |

Organization Goals
• Provide support for the educational and recreational needs of the students of Myron J. Francis Elementary School • Develop a closer relationship between the home and school, so that parents and teachers work together effectively to accomplish educational goals • Promote open communication between the administration, teachers and parents PTO Board of Officers: Co-Presidents: Jo-an Cox and Sherri Silverstein Vice-President: Pam Heatherton Treasurer: Sonda Pimental Secretary: Mary Cabral The PTO always welcomes your ideas and opinions. Please feel free to share your thoughts at our monthly meetings, through our mailbox in the school office, or with our contact page. We thank you for all of your time and effort and appreciate your help in creating an enriched and stimulating environment for all of our children at Myron J. Francis! |
